Activity Description

Experience the ‘Flight of Angels’ perspective first hand. Originally coined by David Livingstone when he first wrote about the area surrounding the Falls- “a sight so wonderful that Angels must have gazed down on it in flight”.

After take off the helicopter turns out towards the magnificent Victoria Falls, our pilot will fly left and right hand circuits over the Victoria Falls in both directions giving you the best viewing, photographic and filming opportunities. A trip up the Zambezi River and back over the Zambezi National Park completes your flight.

What to WearWear light clothes in summer as it can be very hot. In winter, bring a sweatshirt or a jacket as it can get a bit chilly.

Guests or SpectatorsThe Zambezi Helicopter Company works with M.A.R.S. (Medical Air Rescue Service) and other medical air rescue organisations to provide medical evacuations and casevacs when called upon in emergency situations in the outlying areas of Victoria Falls. This includes landing in the Batoka Gorge and Zambezi National Park to attend to accidents and to ferry injured persons to medical facilities in Victoria Falls or Hwange (100km) if needed. This requires us to be constantly training with the M.A.R.S. staff in the injured person loading and unloading procedures and helicopter safety in approach and exit from a working helicopter. Should your flight be disrupted due to a medical emergency, your flight will be rescheduled. If this is not possible you will get a full refund on any payments made.

Notes

There are no age restrictions, although children must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 2 fly for free, sitting on a parent’s lap. Children over 2 pay full price and have a seat.
