Chobe Day Trip from Zim

Zambezi

Activity Description

Experience two 3-hour activities in the famous Chobe National Park. Get the best of both worlds in specially adapted open 4×4s and by boat. This is a unique opportunity to experience some of the best game viewing in Africa close up.

Guests are picked up from the border at 08h30 and transported to their first activity. The day starts with a river cruise into the park, with an opportunity to see a host of waders and water birds along with the ever present crocodile and lurking hippos. Chobe is known for scores of large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink —most notably buffalo and elephant. On the islands, puku and lechwe are often seen and on the banks kudu, impala and waterbuck are common. A complimentary soft drink is included on the boat, as well as tea and coffee and a light lunch.

Customer Reviews

This day trip was better than anything I could have imagined. The game drive through Chobe National Park was incredible -- we saw so many animals and our ranger share so many cool facts about each and every one. Our ranger somehow found a sleeping lion in a bush -- which felt pretty magical. We had an excellent lunch. The game drive was then complemented with a boat ride on the Chobe River, where was saw hundreds of elephants several who were bathing in the river. It was truly unforgettable. I really loved that we got to both a game drive and a boat ride, the multiple perspectives was really cool. The transportation was seamless and the drivers helped us navigate the border entry without any issues. 100% recommend this experience! Pro-tip make sure to get the multiple entry visa when you're arrive at Zimababwe if you're planning to do this trip! - Esther

We can highly recommend the day trip to Chobe. Travelling to Kasane from Vic Falls takes approx. 1.5h one way incl boarder crossing, but afterwards you'll be nonstop on two 3h-safaris by boat on Chobe river and on land via 4x4 crisscrossing the national park, observing the wildlife from all angles. In between there is a lunch break also overseeing the river. Moreover, we had knowledgeable guides and drivers. It couldn't have been any better. - Marcel

An excellent, exciting trip Great service Polite staff Boat and game drive convient, safe and close up view of Lion, Elephant, Buck, crocodile, Hippo, Birds ect. Buffet lunch had a wide range catering of different requirements. Drinks were not included, 6 dollars for a 500ml of plastic bottled water was exorbant. - Fathima
