Special Offer: The Victoria Falls Theatre – SIMUNYE: The Spirit of Africa Discounted rates available until 30th September 2026 - Use code "theatre35"

Activity Description

Experience two 3-hour activities in the famous Chobe National Park. Get the best of both worlds in specially adapted open 4×4s and by boat. This is a unique opportunity to experience some of the best game viewing in Africa close up.

Guests are picked up from the border at 08h30 and transported to their first activity. The day starts with a river cruise into the park, with an opportunity to see a host of waders and water birds along with the ever present crocodile and lurking hippos. Chobe is known for scores of large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink —most notably buffalo and elephant. On the islands, puku and lechwe are often seen and on the banks kudu, impala and waterbuck are common. A complimentary soft drink is included on the boat, as well as tea and coffee and a light lunch.

Customer Reviews

A wonderful day packed with incredible, close encounters with wild life in a stunning setting. Smooth collection from our accommodation, comfortable transport, a slightly long time to go through the border post points (due to shortage of staff) but well supported through the handovers between guides. Boat cruise offered great views, complementary drinks and seating options. Unhurried time along the river, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, bird life, impala, and the elephants coming down to drink and then swim in the water was truly special. Delicious and plentiful lunch at the Boma. Land safari went well, the highlights included very close viewing of large numbers of elephant, and a lioness and her cubs. A wonderful day. - Scott

This was a 5 star experience from beginning to end! The boat trip was relaxing with many beautiful birds and aquatic animals to be seen. We had the privilege of watching an Elephant family cross the river. The lunch was very tasty and our land safari exhilarating. The day was very well organised and the guides were excellent. A day I will never forget and can recommend wholeheartedly! - Maria

Fantastic day in Chobe! The jeep and boat portions were both fun, informative, and full of animals. We saw a lioness up close, elephant, giraffe, zebra, birds, hippo, crocs. Both guides were professional, very knowledgeable, and fun. The lunch buffet had plenty of tasty food in a nice, albeit busy, setting. I'd like to go back on a multi-day safari to Chobe some time. - Ryan

What a wonderful experience. Firstly Chobe river cruise very relaxing. Saw hippos, elephants, birdlife, warthog, crocs, antelope. Lunch buffet very good with plenty of food. Afternoon land safari got up close with over 200 elephants, many giraffes and antelopes. Guides very knowledgeable. A great day. Would highly recommend. - Kathy

An unforgettable safari experience! The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, the game drives were well organized, and seeing wildlife up close in their natural habitat was absolutely breathtaking. Every detail was taken care of, making the trip both relaxing and adventurous. Highly recommended! - Kuo
